One version, both stores
iOS and Android get the same features in the same version, released at around the same time. When something landed on only one of them, the note says so.
The web app doesn’t wait on review
app.curlbudget.com deploys continuously, so a change reaches it on or before the day the mobile release lands in the stores — mobile builds wait on App Store and Play Store review. This page tracks the mobile apps, and the earliest versions here predate the web app catching up on features, so a few of those arrived on the web later.
Also carries the 1.0.13 changes, which never reached the stores on their own.
- New spending charts — see your income and expenses by category as a labeled pie chart or a side-by-side bar breakdown.
- Every account now has a value-over-time chart, and net-worth reports can be narrowed to a single account.
- Explorer shows running (cumulative) totals as you sort transactions by amount, above or below the dividers — your choice.
- AI category suggestions now appear in the Explorer “Uncategorized” list, where you can approve one, change it, or turn it into a rule without leaving the screen.
- A full auto-categorization run no longer stalls partway through, so more transactions get categorized in one pass and the “To Review” list keeps filling as it goes.
- New Receipts view in the menu, plus a simpler capture-and-confirm screen with a clear Save Receipt action that no longer discards your edits.
- The app reopens on the screen you left instead of always starting on the default tab.
- Transaction times now follow your workspace’s timezone rather than your device’s, so everyone sharing a workspace sees the same times and transactions group correctly around midnight.
- Pending workspace invitations show up in the app — accept, decline, or postpone one, and accepting switches you straight into that workspace.
- Auto-rules can be inverted: tap NOT on any condition or group to match everything except it, like “merchant Starbucks AND NOT category Coffee”.
- Long-press any field on a transaction — amount, merchant, date, account, notes — to copy it.
- iOS onlyApple Cash, Card, and Savings accounts sync across every workspace you’ve connected them to, and the Sync Transactions button is back for each account’s owner.
Smaller changes: Faster Explorer and transaction lists, search that clears instantly, better dark-mode contrast, and steadier notification routing, duplicate handling, and returns matching.
- New “Paid by” attribution — in a shared workspace, record who actually paid for a transaction from the detail screen, the long-press menu, or the row avatar. Auto-rules can both set and filter by payer.
- Hide individual transactions so they stay out of your stream and category totals, with an “Only Hidden” filter to find them again.
- Balance alerts moved into a single hub: credit-card defaults, bank-account defaults, and per-account overrides on one page.
- New Notification Health Check under Help & Support sends a test push, so you can confirm notifications actually reach your device.
- Push notifications are more reliable — stale device tokens are cleaned up automatically, instead of quietly leaving you with no alerts after a few weeks.
- A “Syncing transactions…” banner tracks progress after you connect a bank, until the first sync finishes.
- Tapping a “new transactions” notification filters the list to exactly that batch, with a banner and “Show all” to clear it.
- Departed workspace members stay visible as “Former member” on the transactions they were on, instead of disappearing.
- Transaction detail and its related modals support swipe-to-dismiss and stack correctly when you drill in from another modal.
- iOS onlyApple sync refreshes in the background, so Apple transactions arrive while the app is closed.
Smaller changes: Fixes for duplicate sync notifications, a permission error that could reset your active workspace, magic-link sign-in through the Safari fallback, and a batch of transaction-detail and budgeting display corrections.
A focused fix release for AI category suggestions.
- Fixed the app freezing when you created an auto-rule from an AI category suggestion on a transaction that had several suggestions pending.
- Suggestion chips now appear on transactions you already had loaded, and keep updating while a categorization job runs in the background.
- Full French translation, with Canadian English and Quebec French regional overrides.
- Transaction list date headers — “Today”, “Yesterday”, weekday and month names — now translate to your selected language, as do the iOS date pickers.
- Toggling filters on the transactions list is dramatically faster; chips flip instantly instead of waiting on a refetch.
- Budget alerts corrected: no more false “projection over budget” warnings on day one, and transactions on a period boundary count in the right month.
- Returns now surface older same-merchant matches in the original-purchase picker, and you can search manually when the suggestions miss.
- New workspace settings for the provider-removed review banner, including a three-day grace period before pending removals surface.
- Money amounts keep their trailing zeros and use the right number of decimals for each currency — 48.50, not 48.5.
- The Explorer header was reorganized so the net total, transaction count, and Options button share one row.
- The demo workspace no longer renames your profile; sample activity is attributed to demo collaborators instead.
- iOS onlyOnly the household member who connected an Apple account gets its reauthorization prompts and notifications — everyone else sees clear attribution instead.
Smaller changes: Accurate transaction counts for unknown institutions, an Accounts screen that refreshes the moment you switch workspaces, and fixes to Cash Flow projections, Explorer sub-month totals, and a crash when restoring a removed transaction.
- Approve AI category suggestions inline on the transaction list, or clear the pending ones in bulk.
- Long-press a suggestion to apply it across every matching transaction, or to create an auto-rule prefilled with the merchant and category.
- Multi-page receipts — snap up to 10 pages, so a long receipt still picks up the total on its last page.
- New “Original Description” rule condition matches the raw bank description before merchant normalization, so “Costco Travel” and regular Costco can be told apart.
- Notifications gained real gestures: long-press toggles read and unread in both directions, swipe left for Toggle Read and Delete, and tapping one always marks it read.
- Quieter “new merchant” alerts on Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and Square, where every payment description looks like a different merchant.
- Tap or long-press a category chip on a transaction row to edit it.
- Help & Support links open in an in-app browser instead of failing on devices with restricted browser settings.
- Smoother transition from demo mode to a verified account — your data carries over when you verify your email.
- iOS onlyApple Card to Apple Savings reward matching now completes for workspaces with long transaction histories, instead of timing out silently.
Smaller changes: Fixes for date filters stuck on “Custom Range”, Explorer counts that disagreed with their drill-downs, OFX import from the Share sheet, and stale data after switching workspaces offline.
- Swipe right on a transaction to categorize or tag it, with new swipe actions on Explorer transaction lists too.
- Tap a category or a tag directly on a transaction row to edit it.
- Improved AI categorization, with smarter suggested categories.
- Workspace owners can manage accounts added by other members.
- New “Is Spread” quick search filter.
- The navigation menu opens and closes instantly, and the transaction list scrolls more smoothly.
- Date preset ranges snap to calendar-month boundaries, and an “Equals” date filter matches the whole calendar day rather than an exact instant.
- The daily summary no longer double-counts, and tapping it opens the day it covers, with the date and timezone shown.
Smaller changes: Broader transfer-pattern recognition, no fraud or budget alerts on an initial import, several Explorer total and count corrections, and fixes to universal links, font scaling, and back navigation after onboarding.
- Pending workspace invitations now appear in workspace settings, where you can cancel one you sent by mistake.
- Receipts with two-digit years are read as the current century, so a receipt dated 26 lands in 2026.
- Long account names no longer overflow their row, and account screens respond to your device’s text-size setting.
- Creating an auto-rule from an Explorer group now prefills the recipient correctly.
- Fixed the shake-to-report feedback form being unresponsive on release builds.
- Cross-account duplicate detection — when the same bank account is connected twice, whether from a replaced fraud card or two people linking the same joint account, the duplicates are found and grouped, and the Accounts screen shows which accounts are linked.
- Mark transactions as reviewed: unreviewed rows carry a glowing chevron, a swipe or long-press marks one, an “Unreviewed” filter narrows to what is left, and auto-rules can mark transactions reviewed for you.
- Export your workspace as a ZIP of CSV files — transactions, budgets, and the rest of your data, ready for a spreadsheet.
- Bank-connected accounts can now be deleted.
- The provider-removed transaction banner can be dismissed.
Smaller changes: Invite-code links now route signed-in users to the right settings screen, and split filtering returns parents with their children nested underneath.
Carries the 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 changes, which were beta-only.
- Carry unused budget balances forward between periods, and edit the rollover starting balance.
- Edit budgets directly from the budget detail modal.
- Crypto wallets gained xpub support and automatic staking detection, and surface errors instead of failing quietly.
- Balance alerts wait 24 hours before repeating, so a low balance stops nagging you.
- Removed-transaction counts now match what you see, and a pending removal links to the posted transaction that replaced it.
- Better dark mode and VoiceOver support on the transaction list, which also scrolls faster.
- iOS onlyApple sync tells you when it stops working, and Apple Savings is no longer misclassified as Apple Cash.
- Android onlyFixed a crash on launch, stopped the app requesting an advertising ID, and made it available on tablets again.
Smaller changes: Envelope budgeting navigation and calculation fixes, provider-removed transactions no longer hidden inside duplicate groups, and search input that trims stray whitespace.
- Envelope budgeting: per-period amounts, budget rollover, income allocation, and spread-adjusted progress.
- Multi-currency support — set your preferred currency, see converted amounts, and track accounts held in other currencies.
- Crypto wallet monitoring for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, with daily balance snapshots that feed into net worth.
- Now available in Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian.
- A review queue for transactions your bank removed, instead of deleting them silently.
Smaller changes: Receipt transactions no longer land under the wrong day, and the budget tick always shows on the progress bar.
