Managing Subscription
Your Curl Budget subscription is managed through Apple's App Store. This guide covers how to view your subscription, change plans, and handle cancellation.
Viewing Your Subscription
In Curl Budget
Check your status quickly:
- Open Curl Budget
- Go to Settings β Subscription
- View current plan and status
- See renewal date
In App Store
For complete details:
- Open Settings on your device
- Tap your Apple ID at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find Curl Budget
- View all subscription details
What You'll See
Your subscription shows:
- Plan type - Monthly or Annual
- Price - Current billing amount
- Renewal date - When next payment occurs
- Status - Active, Canceled, etc.
Changing Plans
Switching Between Monthly and Annual
To change your billing period:
- Go to device Settings β Apple ID β Subscriptions
- Find Curl Budget
- Tap to view options
- Select the new plan
- Confirm the change
When Changes Take Effect
- Upgrade (Monthly β Annual): Usually takes effect at next renewal
- Downgrade (Annual β Monthly): Takes effect when annual period ends
- Same tier changes: Follow Apple's standard rules
Price Differences
When switching:
- Annual plans offer savings over monthly
- Apple handles prorating if applicable
- Check App Store for current pricing
Canceling Your Subscription
How to Cancel
Subscriptions are canceled through Apple:
- Open device Settings
- Tap your Apple ID
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find Curl Budget
- Tap Cancel Subscription
- Confirm
Note: You cannot cancel through the Curl Budget appβonly through Apple.
What Happens After Canceling
When you cancel:
- Access continues until the end of your paid period
- No further charges after that date
- Then you enter grace period (30 days read-only)
- Data is preserved
Before Your Access Ends
You can:
- Export any data you need
- Continue using the app until period ends
- Resubscribe anytime to restore access
Resubscribing
If you change your mind:
- Go to Settings β Subscription in Curl Budget
- Subscribe again
- Access is restored
- Your data is intact
Billing
How Billing Works
Apple handles all billing:
- Charged to your Apple ID payment method
- Receipts sent by Apple
- Curl Budget never sees payment details
Renewal Process
Subscriptions renew automatically:
- Apple charges your payment method
- 24 hours before current period ends
- Continues unless you cancel
Payment Issues
If payment fails:
- Apple retries a few times
- You may receive Apple notifications
- Subscription may lapse if payment doesn't succeed
- Update payment method in Apple ID settings
Receipts and History
View billing history:
- Open App Store app
- Tap your profile icon
- Tap your account
- View Purchase History
Refunds
Apple's Refund Policy
Refunds are handled by Apple:
- Curl Budget cannot issue refunds
- Contact Apple Support for refund requests
- Apple evaluates based on their policies
Requesting a Refund
To request a refund:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with Apple ID
- Find the Curl Budget charge
- Request a refund
- Apple reviews the request
Common Refund Scenarios
Apple may grant refunds for:
- Accidental purchases
- Technical issues preventing use
- Other qualifying circumstances
Subscription Issues
App Doesn't Show Subscription
If Curl Budget doesn't recognize your subscription:
- Go to Settings β Subscription
- Tap "Restore Purchases"
- Authenticate if prompted
- Wait for restore to complete
"Restore Purchases" Doesn't Work
Try these steps:
- Make sure you're signed into the correct Apple ID
- Check that subscription is active in Apple settings
- Force close and reopen Curl Budget
- Sign out and back into Curl Budget
- Contact support if issues persist
Charged But No Access
If you were charged but don't have access:
- Verify the charge is for Curl Budget (check receipt)
- Try Restore Purchases
- Verify Apple ID matches
- Contact support with receipt details
Multiple Subscriptions
If you accidentally have multiple subscriptions:
- Check Subscriptions in Apple ID settings
- Keep the one you want
- Cancel duplicates
- Contact Apple for refund on duplicates
Subscription and Workspaces
Owner Subscriptions
Workspace owners need an active subscription:
- Owner's subscription covers the workspace
- Members access through owner's subscription
- If owner's subscription lapses, workspace access is affected
Member Access
Workspace members:
- Don't need their own subscription to access shared workspaces
- Need a subscription for their own personal workspace
- Can subscribe independently if desired
Transferring Ownership
If a workspace owner needs to transfer:
- Promote another member to owner
- New owner needs active subscription
- Or workspace loses access if no owner is subscribed

Choose Annual to Save
Annual subscriptions typically offer savings:
- Compare monthly vs. annual pricing
- Calculate yearly cost difference
- Annual is best if you plan to use Curl Budget long-term
Don't Let Subscription Lapse
Keep your subscription active to:
- Maintain account sync without gaps
- Preserve all your settings and data
- Avoid re-setup hassles
Check Before Travel
If you'll be abroad:
- Ensure subscription is active
- Update payment method if needed
- Avoid access issues while traveling
