Curl Budget integrates directly with Apple's financial services, including Apple Card, Apple Cash, and Apple Savings. This provides a native, seamless connection for Apple's financial products.

Supported Apple Accounts

Apple Card

Your Apple credit card:

  • Transaction history

  • Available credit
  • Daily Cash earnings

Apple Cash

Your Apple Cash balance:

  • Incoming payments
  • Outgoing payments
  • Transfers to/from bank accounts

Apple Savings

Your Apple Savings account:

  • Balance
  • Interest earned
  • Deposits and withdrawals

Connecting Apple Accounts

Prerequisites

  • Apple ID with Apple financial services
  • Device signed into iCloud
  • Two-factor authentication enabled

Step by Step

  1. Tap "Add Account" in Curl Budget
  2. Select "Apple Accounts"
  3. Authenticate with your Apple ID
  4. Complete two-factor authentication if prompted
  5. Select which Apple accounts to connect
  6. Accounts appear in Curl Budget

Authentication

The connection uses your Apple ID:

  • Sign in directly with Apple
  • Two-factor authentication required
  • No credentials stored by Curl Budget
  • Secure Apple authentication flow

How Sync Works

Transaction Sync

Apple account transactions sync automatically:

  • When you open Curl Budget
  • Periodically in the background
  • When new transactions occur

Data Available

For each transaction:

  • Amount
  • Date and time
  • Merchant name
  • Transaction description
  • Daily Cash rewards (Apple Card)

Balance Updates

Account balances update with each sync:

  • Current balance
  • Available credit (Apple Card)
  • Interest earned (Apple Savings)

Apple Card Features

Transaction Details

Apple Card provides rich transaction data:

  • Merchant name and category
  • Map location (when available)
  • Daily Cash earned
  • Transaction status

Daily Cash Tracking

See your Daily Cash rewards:

  • Amount per transaction
  • Running total
  • Category breakdown

Credit Information

Monitor your Apple Card:

  • Current balance
  • Available credit
  • Payment due date
  • Credit limit

Apple Cash Features

P2P Payments

Track Apple Cash transactions:

  • Payments received from contacts
  • Payments sent to contacts

Managing Apple Connections

Viewing Connection Status

Apple accounts show:

  • Connection status
  • Last sync time
  • Any issues requiring attention

Refreshing Connection

To manually refresh:

  1. Pull down on the transaction list
  2. Or tap "Refresh" in account settings
  3. Data updates within moments

Re-authentication

If authentication expires:

  1. You'll see a notification
  2. Tap to re-authenticate with Apple ID
  3. Complete two-factor authentication
  4. Sync resumes

Disconnecting

To disconnect Apple accounts:

  1. Tap the Apple account
  2. Tap "Disconnect Account"
  3. Choose to keep or delete history
  4. Confirm disconnection

Family Sharing

If you use Apple Family Sharing:

Family Organizer

As the family organizer:

  • All family Apple accounts are visible
  • Can track family spending (with permission)
  • Manage family financial visibility

Family Members

As a family member:

  • Your accounts connect to your Curl Budget
  • Purchase history from family sharing visible
  • Privacy respects Apple's family sharing rules

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

If Apple connection fails:

  1. Verify you're signed into iCloud
  2. Check that two-factor authentication is enabled
  3. Try signing out and back into your Apple ID
  4. Ensure Apple services are online

Transactions Not Syncing

If transactions aren't appearing:

  1. Check if transactions appear in the Wallet app
  2. Pull down to force sync
  3. Verify account is still connected
  4. Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Balance Discrepancy

If balances don't match:

  1. Force a sync
  2. Check timingβ€”may be slight delay
  3. Compare to Wallet app balance
  4. Pending transactions may differ

Authentication Issues

If you can't authenticate:

  1. Verify Apple ID is correct
  2. Complete two-factor authentication
  3. Check Apple's system status
  4. Try again later if Apple services are down

Privacy and Security

Data Access

Curl Budget receives:

Curl Budget does NOT receive:

  • Apple ID password
  • Full account numbers
  • Personal Apple account information
