Viewing Transactions

Your transaction list is the heart of Curl Budget. It shows all your financial activity from connected accounts, organized for easy review and management.

The Transaction List

What You See

Each transaction displays:

  • Merchant/Description - Who you paid or who paid you
  • Amount - Negative for expenses, positive for income
  • Date - When the transaction occurred
  • Category - The assigned category with icon
  • Account - Which account (shown by color or icon)
  • Status indicators - Transfer, pending, duplicate markers

Amount Convention

Curl Budget uses consumer-friendly conventions:

  • Negative amounts = Money out (expenses, purchases)
  • Positive amounts = Money in (income, refunds, deposits)

This matches how you think about spending: "I spent $50" means $50 left your account.
